FROM WHAT I HAVE FOUND ON THE WWW the wild web. These are placed in or on a cob roller player and seems to work like a music box but the drums are changeable. Sadly there is no way I can tell if these play. The wood is various shades.. Check out pictures and ask any questions you may have. EACH COB WILL BE ROLLED IN CARDBOARD THEN CUSHIONED IN BUBBLEWRAP PADDING. The rollers measures approximately: Length – between 6 5/16 and 6 3/8 – Diameter (not including metal pins) – between 1 ¾ and 1 13/16. From a purely novice position, it seems the directions are on the drive side as there is an extra hole on the wood wooden edge, see pictures. Not all the paper graphics are clear, I did my best to include title of song and number most are legible enough to research via ” roller organ cobography “. If you have any questions or there is a better (or more technically correct) way of describing these, please let me know (THANKS). PLEASE NOTE SOME PINS APPEAR TO HAVE VARYING SPACING, SOME HOLES SEEM TO HAVE BE ELONGATED, SOME PINS ARE NOT STICKING OUT OF THE WOOD AS HIGH AS OTHERS AND I DID NOTICE A HOLE WITHOUT A PIN, MAY INDICATE A MISSING PIN? . NOT KNOWING FOR SURE, THE PINS MAY BE EASILY POSITIONED PROPERLY IF NEEDED??????????????????? I DID NOTICE ONE PIN WAS PUSHED INTO THE WOOD NOTICEABLY MORE THAT THE OTHERS. One thing is certain, you will receive what is shown in the pictures. These rollers were found in an old leather bag with each roller rolled up in newspaper (which was from the 1973 and brittle). I carefully unrolled each roll, tried to capture graphics as best as possible. WITH EXCEPTION OF REPACKAGING. 1 The drive side or end (the side with the hole) DIRECTIONS Place the roller in the instrument with this end at your left hand. Always play a roller through until it shifts before removing it. 2 The non-drive side or end of the legible cobs have PATENT 322390 or PATENTED July 14 1886. Title and number of legible cobs. No 1132 looks like Cre??? Please note graphics are crumbly and falling off. 247 The Devils Dream, I believe?? Looks like some pins are pushed too close together and drive hole appears to be elongated. Nd Bye per www: The Sweet Bye and Bye. Scotland – Your guess would be as good as mine…………….. No 1118 Just One Girl. Brothers – the word illegible may be “JOLLY”, but not sure, this was found referencing www………………….. 207 The Arkansas Traveler. No 1069 My Old Kentucky Home. No 18 He Leadeth Me. There – per www: The Home Over There. No 241 Kitty Wells. No 456 Racquet Waltz. No 1129 Mosquito Parade. No 1140 By the Sycamore Tree. No 109 Marching Through Georgia. No 1020 Little Alabama Coon. No 30 Precious Name. No 1113 High Born Lady – bits of paper missing, used www to decipher. No 102 Polka La Bonne Bouche. No 1124 Sunny Tennessee. No 420 Happy-Go Lucky. That is the best description I can provide, check out the 12 pictures and judge for yourself – again I have no way of verifying operation of these cobs.
